Tea on Tuesday

This is a fun all-occasion card using the Sunshine Designs stamps – yet again!

Teapot:
Card dimensions – A2 5 ½” x 4 ½”

Materials: CS – (Bazzill), Purely Pomegranate (SU!); Paper –Accademia (Fabriano); Ink – Black StazOn (Tsukineko), Purely Pomegranate (SU!); Stamps – Teacup, Teapot (Sunshine Designs); Punch – Photo corner (SU!); Tombow markers, waterbrush, Stickles glitter, foam tape.

Just a bit of glitter on this – to accent the steam out of the spout. Nice and simple.

Until next time, have a great day!

Bluebells

Here’s a nice bright card for a Monday morning – to wake us all up! Lots of sparkle and shine to this one – with Stickles at the base of each Bluebell!

Bluebell:
Card dimensions – 5” square

Materials: CS – (Bazzill); Paper –Accademia (Fabriano); Ink – Black StazOn (Tsukineko; Stamps – Bluebell (Sunshine Designs); Tombow markers, waterbrush, Stickles glitter, foam tape, clear silicone.

The Bluebells were stamped once and coloured on the main piece of watercolour paper. Then I stamped another image, coloured only the Bluebells then cut them out. I shaped them around my paintbrush to add dimension to them – then placed them over the original Bluebells using clear silicone. The silicone allowed them to keep their curved shape well. Final element – Stickles glitter at the base of the flowers.

Until next time, have a great day!

I’ll be your umbrella.

Lots more watercoloured cards to come this week and next - and today is one that is looking forward to Spring!

Spring Raincoat:
Card dimensions – A2 (4 ¼” x 5 ½”)

Materials: CS – (Bazzill); Paper –Accademia (Fabriano); Ink – Black StazOn (Tsukineko), Brocade Blue (SU!); Stamps – Raincoat from Spring Cube (Sunshine Designs), Umbrella from Random Thoughts (CTMH); Ribbon – blue satin (Offray); Tombow markers, waterbrush, Dimensional Glaze, foam tape.

You can’t see it in this photo, but the raincoat outer portion (not the inside of the hood) is coated in Dimensional Glaze to make it like a shiny yellow vinyl raincoat. That stuff is a lot of fun and also makes a great water look too!
I used this ‘Spring’ stamp cube on another card I’ll show you later on – mixing two of the images together for a nice Spring rain scene. So stay tuned!

Until next time, have a great day!

Oh Baby!

So – as promised, onward to more of my class samples.

Cuttlebug Oh Baby!:
Card dimensions – A2 (4 ¼” x 5 ½”)

Materials: CS –Sweet Leaf (CTMH), blue (Bazzill); Paper –Accademia (Fabriano); Ink – Black StazOn (Tsukineko), Brocade Blue (SU!); Stamps – Baby Cube (Sunshine Designs), Sentiment ‘Oh Baby!” – Baby Word Cube (Sunshine Designs); Ribbon – white grosgrain (Domcord); Punches - small oval punch (SU!), corner rounder (EK Success); Cuttlebug and embossing folder (Provo Craft), Tombow markers, waterbrush, Sakura gellyroll pen – sky, silver jump ring, sand paper, edge distresser, foam tape.

The base card was run through the Cuttlebug using the Baby words embossing folder. I then sanded the embossed parts with sand paper to reveal the white core of the CTMH cardstock. The edges of the Sweet Leaf mat were distressed with an edge distresser too – to match the distressed embossing on the card. You can’t see it on this photo but the blue bottom flap of the little onesie is shimmery – done with the Sakura gellyroll “sky” coloured metallic pen, which was then blended with a paint brush and a very tiny bit of water.

Until next time, have a great day!

WOW – where does the time go???

Happy (belated) 2008 to everyone – sorry it has been so quiet here, but lots on the go, etc. etc. I hope everyone is sticking to their New Year’s resolutions – hey, wasn’t Monday Jan. 21st the day that apparently more people drop their resolutions. Oh well, there’s always next year……

Thought I would pop in with a few class samples I have done up, for a class coming up in February – of course, using the Watercolour with Markers Technique, and lots of Sunshine Designs stamps. Hope you like them!
I've also had a sneak peak at the new stamps being released by Sunshine Designs for this Spring - cute, cute, cute!

Open House:
Card dimensions – A2

Materials: CS –Black, Pinecone, Hilary, Chiffon (Bazzill); Paper –Accademia (Fabriano); Ink – Timber Brown, Black StazOn (Tsukineko); Stamps – Houses Cube, Dots Cube (Sunshine Designs), Sentiment ‘Open House’ – House Party Word Cube (Sunshine Designs); Tombow markers, waterbrush.

So, all this week and next I will show you some of the cards from the Intro and Advanced classes I am doing in February. I also have finished a cute Fancy Folds “Spring” card complete with raindrop shaped beads – lots of fun! I’ll show you that one too.

Until next time, have a great day!
