Almost the weekend! Yeah!
Hope everyone drives safely today/tonight as the storm approaches Ontario - be careful!
Today's card is another in the Theme Week series on Giga Scalloped Circle Alternative Uses.
I hope you are enjoying the Theme Week so far.
This card is yet another for baby - the Scalloped Circle seems to just fit baby cards for some reason! And as an added bonus - it has a teddy on it!
Umbrella for Teddy:
Card dimensions 6" h x 4 3/4" w.
Materials: CS - white, pink, brown; Ribbon (Micheals); Punches - Giga scalloped circle (Marvy), Ticket corner punch (SU!); Cuttlebug embossing folder - Baby; black marker (Marvy); chalks, dimensionals (SU!).
To make this card, simply cut a Giga scalloped circle in half (ensure that you have complete scallops all around, don't cut a peak in half) to use as the canopy of the umbrella and then cut out an umbrella handle, free-hand style, out of the other half. Draw a little teddy bear, use a template you already have or stamp a teddy if you have one. Make sure you can cut up the inside of the arms so they can hang over the front of the umbrella. I cut my teddy out of white cardstock, and then used my chalks to colour him a light brown to pick up the colours in the striped ribbon (hard to see this in the photo!).
I didn't stamp anything on this one so that you could fully see the use of the Giga scalloped circle - but I would be tempted to stamp 'congratulations' or 'welcome little one' on the umbrella.
Drop by tomorrow for another Giga scalloped circle card for baby - Spit Happens!
AND - I don't usually post on the weekends, but I have some other fun uses for the scallop circle so I will add 1 extra post to this week's Theme Week on Saturday. Drop by then too, if you have a minute!
Until next time, have a great day!
