Spit Happens - but it's Friday!

Hoping everyone got home OK yesterday with the bad weather, and that today you are all cozy at home, or safely at work if need be! Wherever you are, Happy Friday!

On we go with the Theme Week of Giga Scalloped Circle Alternative Uses.

Today’s card is inspired by one of the bibs I received for my little ones – it said so appropriately SPIT HAPPENS! And you know what – it does happen, so just roll with it.

Spit Happens:
Card dimensions 6 ½” h x 5” w.

And here is the little bib card on the front - open:

Materials: CS – white, lilac; PP – checked; large brads (Making Memories); white ribbon (Charmin); Punches – Giga Scalloped Circle (Marvy), 1 ¼” circle, ticket corner punch (SU!); Versamark Ink; Black marker (Marvy); baby hands stamp.

To make this card, take a pre-made white card base, and mat with checked patterned paper cut to 6 ¼” h x 4 ¾” w. Cut lilac cardstock to 6” h x 4 ½” w, and cut corners with the ticket corner punch. Apply to the checked mat paper, centered. Randomly, stamp the baby hands stamp using Versamark Ink. Add brads to corners.
To make the baby bib, punch out a Giga scalloped circle through checked patterned paper that is folded to double thickness – ensure that the folded edge is not cut by the punch, by leaving it within the open area of the punch. You will then have a small card-like item scalloped almost all the way around, except for along the folded top. Then punch out a 1 ¼” circle roughly ¼” in from the folded edge, centered. Using your scissors cut in from the folded edge to the circle to make a neck shape for a bib. There will still be a small area on either side of the cut in that is still hinged so that it can open. Glue thin ribbon to either side of the fold and tie in a bow. Adhere the bib to the card front.
I then wrote in my sentiment “Spit Happens!” by hand using a fine black marker.
Hope that all made sense – take another look at the photo to see what I mean.

One more post tomorrow – the final one in this Theme Week. Hope you can drop by.
Until next time, have a great day!
