Happy Turtle Tuesday, yet again!
Do you remember the View-Master toys we had as kids? The one where you looked through a 'glasses-like' toy and inserted different disks to see pictures and stories?
Well, today's card is just that - a View-Master Card or otherwise known as a Spinner Card.
Turtle Birthday with a Spin:
Card dimensions 6" x 6".
And here is the view of all 4 images that are stamped on the spinner inside:
Materials: CS - Cocoa, White, Sweet Leaf, Blush (CTMH); PP - Cocoa Cafe Designer Collection (CTMH); Ink - Cocoa (CTMH); Stamp - Birthday Turtle Clear Set (Inky Antics); Coluzzle swivel knife/mat/Spinner card template, brad, 2-way glue (ZIG), dimensionals (SU!), pencil crayons (Laurentian), Sakura Stardust Pen.
The card base is made out of Cocoa CS cut to 6" x 12" and folded in half to form a 6" x 6" card. Using the Coluzzle Spinner template, cut out the card top and spinner wheel. Briefly assemble the card top and spinner wheel with the brad to see where you wish to cut out the hole/window (so you can reveal the spinner), then take apart and cut out the window. Assemble the top and spinner again, and stamp your images inside the hole onto the spinner, turning the spinner between images so that the previous image is completely hidden when you stamp the next image. Colour images as desired - I used basic pencil crayon colouring - quick and easy. I attached the topper and spinner to the card base with dimensionals so that the recipient could easily turn the spinner wheel. DONE!
Now - don't have the Coluzzle Spinner Card template? No problem! Click on THIS LINK to go to the tutorial on SplitCoast Stampers where it shows you how to make your own spinner card without this Spinner template (however you still do need some way of making a circle - try a plate if you don't have the circle template). The Spinner Card Template just makes it a bit quickly and easier - but anyone can make this card regardless.
That's it for today. Wishing everyone Happy Turtle Tuesday!
Until next time, have a great day!
