Matchbook Valentine's for Little Ones

Today's post is of some fast and fun Valentine's treats that my Darling Daughter (DD) will take to her little friends at daycare on Wednesday. These might be the only "girly" ones of the day since her daycare is ALL BOYS!!! I suspect she'll be receiving a lot of Spiderman, SpongeBob and Diego ones in return - not the Princess ones she wants!

Valentine's Matchbooks:
Dimensions (closed) 3" w x 3 7/8" h.

Materials: CS - White, Hollyhock (CTMH); Ink - Black, Hollyhock (CTMH); Stamps - $1.50 (CAN) Michael's promo stamps; 1 1/4" circle punch (SU!), Coluzzle swivel knife/mat/circle template, heart crystal stickers (Dollarama), 2-way glue (ZIG), stapler, Hershey's Kissable Friendship Exchange packages.

The matchbook is made from white cardstock (CS), cut 3" x 8 1/2" and then scored along the long edge at 3/4", 4 5/8" and 5". Fold the 3/4" piece up and staple the Valentine treat in the fold. The cover then folds up and over the treat and tucks in under the bottom 3/4" piece like a match book.

I created a "Valentine's chick" from THIS SITE to use as DD's signature, since DD is only 2 1/2 and can't write her name! LOL! I matted the circle in Hollyhock cardstock and adhered it to cover up the staple.
Check out this site and use the Chick Builder to make your very own custom "chick" with all your features and favourite things. Don't forget to add the BLING with the little magic wand!!!
Now I'm off to let DD colour these up with her pencil crayons - the girl LOVES to colour!
Don't forget - tomorrow is Turtle Tuesday!!!
Until next time, have a great day!
