Today continues this week’s theme of Giga Scalloped Circle Alternative Uses!
As promised, today we are getting out our scissors and cutting up a Giga scalloped circle.
Cut it up as follows:
4 pieces – the top one is straight across the top, with 9 scallops on that piece. The bottom section that remains is then cut into 3 pieces – each side piece has 5 scallops in it, and the middle piece is roughly ½” wide at the top and has 6 scallops on the bottom – see the photo below for quick reference.
Now what are we going to do with these pieces?
I think the title of this card should be The Girl’s A Little Bit Punchy!
Card dimensions 5 ½” x 5 ½”.
Materials: Punches – Giga Scalloped Circle, Daisy (Marvvy), Word Window (SU!), 1 ¼” circle (SU!), ticket corner (SU!), ¼” hole (Staples); CS – white, Bamboo (CTMH); PP – striped paper from Elegant Bouquet (CTMH); Stamp – Scrapbook kids faces and hands (CTMH); ink – Bamboo (CTMH), ribbon – Offray.
To make this card you will need 4 Word Window punches for the arms and legs, a 1 ¼” circle for the face, 1 Giga scalloped circle and 1 daisy punch. Cut the Giga scalloped circle as directed, and assemble as in the photo above. To make the hat, simply gather the top piece of the scalloped circle that you cut (the one with the 9 scallops) as desired.
Now it’s your turn – give it a try! I’d love to see your creations!
This would also be fun to do as an angel for Christmas cards, and instead of the hat – add a glitter halo.
Drop back in all week for more Giga Scalloped Circle Alternative Uses – there’s still lots to come!
Until next time, have a great day!
